New York continues its fight on climate change with the largest combined renewable energy awards ever by a U.S. state – two offshore wind projects and 24 large-scale land-based renewable energy projects totaling over 4,700 megawatts, enough to power almost 2 million homes. Combined with investments in New York ports, projects will spur nearly $14 billion in investments and more than 8,600 good-paying jobs to help stimulate the state’s economic recovery.
